Care Philosophy “I believe that empathy is the key to any kind of treatment. If the provider is not empathetic, he/she can never fully comprehend what the patient is going through and how the treatment will effect him/her. My goal is to be a patient advocate. I always try to explain to patients the positive and negative sides of each problem and provide all the necessary medical advice so that patient can make an informed decision about his or her own health.”
Dr Ravneet Sandhu specializes in treating patients with complex medical issues such as diabetes, COPD, and weight management, high cholesterol and COPD with patient centered compassionate approach. She strongly believes that people should not be prejudged and should always be given the "benefit of doubt" and never develop a “tunnel vision”. This belief has served her well while caring for the patients that she has encountered over the past 20 years. She is devoted to helping every patient and has been able to discover many diseases that others have missed it with careful listening and a more thorough investigation of their problems.
“Patients enjoy working with me towards a treatment plan because I listen and develop a personalized plan that incorporates patients’ input and preferences. I have a passion for internal medicine where I manage patients with complex medical problems. I am also passionate about educating patients about preventative measures to improve their health and general well-being”
She feels her role as physician is to act as a facilitator, providing up to date information and recommendations, encouraging open communication and engaging the patient in an active discourse ultimately empowering patients to make their own decisions.
When she is not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, painting, traveling, reading and watching movies.
